In response to the devastation left by Hurricane Otis in Acapulco, from CADENA and as a humanitarian arm of the Jewish Community of Mexico, we have assisted the population in Guerrero following various lines of action.

First, we deploy our immediate response team and coordinate efforts to search, care for and evacuate affected people. We evacuated a total of 115 people who were trapped in Acapulco and needed to get to Mexico City.

Later, with the support of local authorities, we began to deliver essential items in nine affected communities: Puerto Marqués, Kilómetro 30, Plan de los Amates, Lomas de Chapultepec, Lomitas del Papagayo, Tuncingo, 10 de Abril, Coloso and Colosio. We have delivered a total of 5,369 food packages, 800 hygiene kits, 830 cleaning kits and we have benefited 41,928 people to date.
