Humanitarian intervention in La Guajira: CADENA Colombia
We made a trip to deliver aid to eight very remote indigenous communities: Ipotshiru, Ballena, Aipeilu, Yoishipaa, Musichi, Shoshoin, Walilujuo and Ian, in La Guajira. There, we were able to assist 260 families. We made deliveries in markets: threads to make backpacks, water filters and solar lamps. We also offered the opportunity to have medical consultations, and we carried out games and recreational activities with the children. In addition, we held a workshop on dignified menstruation and ecological sanitary pads. Overcoming cultural and linguistic barriers and connecting with these communities by listening and helping them fills our souls.
