Since 2017, CADENA welcomed the community of Miguel Hidalgo in Chiapas that had been heavily affected by the earthquakes. Since that time, we have been working on resilience and community strengthening projects. Today, thanks to a donation from Volvo Buses Mexico, we have installed three rainwater storage and collection tanks with a capacity of 126,630 liters. With this, the community will have drinking water and families will not have to travel 90 minutes back to have water in their homes. In addition, in collaboration with Proyecto ConcentrArte, 18 workshops will be given on water management and use, good nutrition and effective irrigation of the vegetable garden to ensure maximum use of the cisterns.
