This weekend we continued to assist the communities affected by the floods at the end of July and beginning of August. On Saturday and Sunday we travelled to Turrialba, where we delivered newspapers, clothes, mattresses, bedding and filters to make water potable. Additionally, our volunteers -along with Grupo Eslabón Montecristo- will help rebuild the rural aqueduct of Florencia, damaged during the floods. Lastly, we are going with a medical brigade to work in indigenous territory and in an irregular settlement called Olivos 1. It will be an intervention coordinated together with the Municipal Commission of Turrialba. The generous donation of Grupo Montecristo’s collaborators shows that there are always ways to be a link in humanitarian aid. A very special thank you to Hospital Metropolitano Costa Rica.
