Continuing the project initiated with Axa Mexico and ARISE MX on resilient communities, in this third stage, which deals with training, CADENA gave workshops focused on resilience building and risk analysis in the communities of Palmito Verde, Cristo Rey and Empacadora Bedolla. We were able to reach La Concha, a community heavily impacted by Hurricane Pamela. There, the psychosocial team conducted a group session with people from the community who had lived through this disaster. The training was given to 110 people; we didn’t form a resilience brigade of 100 people. At the same time, 500 resilience books, 500 flood prevention comics and 80 posters of GIRD and floods were distributed. We want to give a special thanks to Volaris for the flights and to Mitsubshi Motors De Mexico for the transportation.
