This week, our group of volunteers in San Juan delivered hygiene kits to those affected by the heavy rains, which made more than 200 people evacuate their homes. We wanted to thank each link that participated in this incredible chain. Let’s continue to act impartially against humanitarian crises! Let’s keep helping! Join and be part of the change. You can find the volunteer form in the profile bio.

Southern Argentina has caught on fire. The fires took out entire houses. The loss of homes: the material and the sentimental, has crossed families of all social classes. The CADENA team visited the location to reveal the situation, to document it in order to make it visible, to chat with people and accompany them sentimentally, and to deliver solar lamps to replace the burned power cables. This is does not end here. The team also took ideas and projects to implement in the future. If this interests and moves you, please join. People have lost everything and more unexpectedly. Let’s come together as a community.

This weekend we visited the picnic area “Como en casa” in the Costa Esperanza settlement. Together with 45 children from the neighborhood we played games and gave training on recycling. In addition, in view of going back to school, we gave school supplies to all the children who participated. Thank you for your collaboration and for being one more link in this CADENA!

After a painstaking work, we have reached the end of the first emergency mission in response to the earthquake in San Juan. Last weekend, a team of CADENA volunteers together with the local Jewish community Kehila San Juan and young leaders of Merkaz Dorhemshej delivered temporary shelters, ethyl alcohol and gel, and chinstraps. We are very grateful to all of you for your help. We continue to collect funds to continue helping the affected population.

For three weeks, a team of volunteers has been touring the rural areas of the Impenetrable Chaqueño with a tanker truck to deliver potable water to local communities. Generally, families or communities have cisterns to collect rainwater to be able to supply themselves during harsh times of drought. This is impossible now, for the area is suffering one of the most important droughts in recent years: it has not rained for more than eleven months. The CADENA team, together with the local Gran Chaco Foundation Foundation and thanks to the support of Start Network, we are carrying out a humanitarian mission, delivering drinking water to 5000 people in the surroundings of Nueva Pompeya, Comandancia Frías, Fuerte Esperanza and Sauzalito. In addition, we are providing medical attention with local professionals, as well as recreational activities for the little ones. This mission is not over yet, there is still a lot of work to do!

Some weeks ago, we built a water cistern in Chaco for 40 people. These cisterns are the only potable water reservoirs for the millions of people living in the Impenetrable forest in Chaco. This time we helped repair two water cisterns in rural areas affected by intense draught. We’d like to thank all the volunteers that made this possible, they are an important link in our chain. Join us!

Thanks to your donations and those of partner companies as well as allies, we have helped more than a million people during the COVID-19 pandemic. We won’t stop! We’ve delivered food packages to those who lost their jobs or saw their income diminish. We donated COVID-19 protection kits to all health workers in the frontlines. We accompanied elders with no one to care for them. We are always on the lookout for new humanitarian volunteers to join our ranks! Your donation will allow us to continue helping those in need.
