A few days ago, we visited the dining room of the “Fraternity of Divina Providencia”, where we had the opportunity to support 250 homeless people. Our greatest thanks to China Wok Guatemala, who did the favor of donating 250 lunches. We also provided blankets, which are needed for the cold weather during this time of the year.

With the valuable help of volunteers from BCG, we made a donation of merchandise and gifts for the families of Villa Felipe Cubillos in San Bernardo. Thanks to this initiative, more than 150 bags were delivered to the families, with the only purpose of being able to relieve as much as possible the expenses of the end of the year. There are still a large number of people in need of support in the Villa. Special thanks to: BCG Chile, collaborator for the second consecutive year in this project

We are carrying out the campaign “From liter to roof”, which has allowed us to provide a roof to those families who have suffered some kind of disaster or did not have an adequate roof over their homes. We thank all those who, day after day, deliver their Tetra Pak packages to the schools: without you, none of this would be possible.
We had the opportunity to conduct a retreat to absorb and impart knowledge about leadership and humanitarian intervention. The retreat, called Tikun Olam Leadership Retreat (TOLR), became a mission of resilience, in which we learned about the various types of leadership, in addition to trying to better understand the world, and in relation to others, continue to grow. The experience reached its full realization as we put the knowledge acquired into practice in Zongolica, Veracruz, providing help to those in need, truly appreciating what Tikun Olam is. At the same time, the TOLR was also a space for coexistence, recreation and fun. What initiative can you make your own to help heal the world?
A couple of weeks ago, before 2021 came to an end, we went to the dining room “Como en Casa”, in San Martin, in order to carry out recreational activities with the children and play before the holidays. We baked cookies and gifts, as well as delivered the food collected so that 200 families could spend Christmas and New Year’s Day happily. Special thanks to Allkom for their valuable contribution.

We had the honor of meeting Itzayana Altamirano Rojas, a 7 years old girl representing the Scouts of Cuautitlán Izcalli. Her approach to CADENA has been on her own initiative, with the intention of carrying out a Tetra Pak collection campaign for our program “De Litro a Techo”. Throughout these months, she has been collecting these products with her family and friends, delivering more than 4,000 pieces of Tetra Pak, an action that will make possible the placement of ecological roofs in the homes of the people who need them most. Thank you very much Itza, your contribution is essential for our cause!
We are very pleased and satisfied to have organized a Christmas party for 100 children in Ciudad Bolivar. The children enjoyed themselves, had fun and had an incredible time with the visit of Santa Claus, with whom they were able to take pictures and receive their presents. There was a lot of happiness, illusion and harmony. We would particularly like to thank: @reneecoheng (the donation of the decoration); @caramelosbga (the company in charge of the show); @elcometapanaderia (for delighting us with all their bakery). Merry Christmas to all!

Our Cadena Chile team, together with WaterisLife Chile, carried out a humanitarian operation in Til Til, a place where they met many families affected by a big fire. Unfortunately, these people lost their homes and everything they needed to continue their daily lives. Upon noticing this complicated situation, it was decided to help them. Donations and support were given to each one of them. At CADENA, our work is constant, we continue to build new opportunities.

On the 17th of this month, the young people of Club CADENA had the opportunity to visit the children of the village of El Rodeo, Escuintla, where they delivered 75 refreshments and some gifts, courtesy of the Bountiful Foundation. All of them suffer from malnutrition: the mentioned foundation supports them from the period of gestation to three years of age. In addition, it provides them with Incaparina for better development. In short, the young volunteers had a unique experience, being able to interact, play, draw and paint with the children, laying the grounds for their commitment to society in the not too distant future.

We had the opportunity to carry out an intervention to counteract the strong frosts in Sábana del Rosario, located in the municipality of Villa Allende, in the State of Mexico. Every year, temperatures drop to 0º and many people do not have sufficient infrastructure to combat this problem. A large number of the population there live in the countryside and in this cold season it is not possible for them to work their land. Faced with this series of obstacles, CADENA delivered 400 blankets, hygiene and household cleaning materials, food and clothes donated by people (courtesy of Proyecto Impacto and our own stockpile). We will never stop giving our help to anyone in need.
