In August 2023, CADENA USA began its annual edition of CADENA Club. This project seeks to train and integrate high school students in community service activities, promoting leadership and the humanitarian values of our organization. The goal is to motivate students to organize activities that support vulnerable communities and thus become the humanitarians of tomorrow.
In total, 62 people from Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School; 48 people from U School; 20 people from Scheck Hillel Community School; 85 people from David Posnack Jewish Day School; 20 people from Miami Country Day School; 103 people from Don Soffer Aventura Charter High School and one person from Cushman School participated. Totaling 394 young people between 15 and 17 years of age in our CADENA Club in Miami, Florida. Month after month, they met at their schools and organized activities to respond to the needs of vulnerable communities. At the same time, their presidents and vice presidents met monthly with CADENA USA staff and received training to learn about CADENA’s principles, humanitarian action and other topics related to the activities and interventions we carry out at an international level.
Between August 2023 and June 2024, our CADENA Clubs participated in volunteer activities that sought to benefit the communities in which they live. Our goal with the CADENA Clubs is to motivate young people to create real change and transform indifference into action both now and in the future.
