As part of our response in Turkana, Kenya during 2023, we decided to increase medical staff and incorporate dental services to fully respond to their needs. The Turkana community has been facing an ongoing drought, which has led to a food crisis with high levels of malnutrition. The humanitarian crisis in Kenya puts the health of thousands of people at risk and CADENA International decided to respond to provide medical assistance. At the end of the intervention, we helped 506 people with the implementation of 376 medical consultations and 130 dental consultations. We also carried out deworming campaigns and prevention workshops, so that our response would have favorable results in the long term.
