Humanitarian intervention in Concordia

Axis: Humanitarian Action

Office: Argentina

In response to the floods in Concordia in the Province of Entre Rios, CADENA Argentina deployed a humanitarian intervention from November 28 to December 3 to respond to the needs of the affected people. With the support of local volunteers, we assembled and delivered 400 hygiene kits, 5 community water filters and 5 water tanks. In addition, we visited 7 centers where evacuees were located to conduct resilience workshops with children, since classes were suspended due to the recent floods.

With this intervention we responded to the needs of an extremely vulnerable population, and with the hand-to-hand delivery, we were able to benefit 2,500 people. Our response provided hygiene supplies and psycho-emotional tools to cope with this crisis situation and build lasting resilience.
