Humanitarian Intervention in Neuquén

By CADENA

Axis: Humanitarian Action

Office: Argentina

In collaboration with Start Network, we responded in Vista Alegre and Sauzal Bonito in the municipality of Neuquén after the floods caused by the overflowing of the river. From July 9 to August 1, we delivered hand-to-hand assistance to more than 2,500 people; we delivered 30,000 kilos of firewood, 2,000 blankets, 250 hygiene kits, 250 school kits and 4 community water filters.

With the support of our volunteers, we conducted emotional management workshops for children and generated meetings with community leaders to collaborate in the crisis response. In this way, we were able to help the affected population in a humanitarian emergency that left hundreds of families with emotional and material losses.
