In November 2023, CADENA Panama built a roof for Fundación Soy Tu Mano Amiga in Cerro Viento, west of Panama City. This foundation serves homeless people and prepares hot meals for 250 people every week. However, their kitchen was located in a courtyard and the risk of constant rains hindered their work. Together with 12 of our volunteers, we built a roof to facilitate the preparation of food. We also accompanied them in the preparation of meals and the distribution of food on two consecutive Sundays. With this, we dignified their work space and thus helped more homeless people to have a dignified treatment and hot meals.
