WE REJOINED THE NUTRITION CLUSTER’S EFFORTS

On August 8th, we participated in the Nutrition Cluster Meeting held at UNICEF’s National Office. This event marked our reintegration into the cluster, where we aimed to learn about the sector’s progress and contribute to nutrition and food security issues.

During the meeting, participants presented the national malnutrition mapping, an information monitoring tool, and community education materials.

Through this participation, we reestablished strategic contacts and gained new tools that will strengthen our actions in the sector. We will continue engaging in the cluster’s activities, promoting collaboration to improve nutrition in the country.

INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERING AT THE DIAMANTE II RESIDENCE

From August 18 to 28, CADENA CJG, in coordination with an international volunteer team, accompanied 26 volunteers from “Heroes for Life” in a community service initiative at the Diamante II Residence, located in Zone 2 of Guatemala City.

The residence, administered by the Social Welfare Ministry, provides shelter, training, and psychosocial support to young people who have faced vulnerability.

During this initiative, volunteers painted and renovated various areas of the residence, including the kitchen, laundry, courtyard, living room, computer lab, and dormitories. They also painted murals and positive messages on the walls.
