PSEA WORKSHOP FOR OUR VOLUNTEERS

On November 13, we held a Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) workshop for our volunteers.

A total of 23 people participated virtually, strengthening their capacities to offer safe, respectful, and responsible assistance to communities in emergencies and crises.

SECOND HUMANITARIAN INTERVENTION IN CHACARITA

On November 19, we returned to the community of Chacarita, which was affected by recent floods. During this second intervention, we furthered the reach of our humanitarian response and supported over 300 people, aside from the 2,000 others we assisted during October.

More than 80 families, including elderly people and people with disabilities, received food and personal hygiene kits and water filters, which aimed to respond to their most urgent needs and to provide relief.

COLLECTION OF CANNED GOODS

In alliance with Supermercado Avenida 10, we carried out a collection drive for canned foods to include in our humanitarian assistance kits.

Thanks to the solidarity of everyone who came by on November 29, we gathered over 250 cans of tuna, which will be used to support families affected by emergencies and crises.

WE ESTABLISHED OUR PSYCHOSOCIAL BRIGADE

With great enthusiasm, we took the first step toward forming CADENA Costa Rica’s Psychosocial Brigade.

During our first meeting, we defined protocols, shared experiences, and addressed frontline needs in psychosocial care during emergencies, crises, or disasters, both within Costa Rica and abroad.

This new brigade will enhance our ability to offer emotional support during critical moments.
