CADENA CLUB DON SOFFER PRESENTED THE “MORAL COURAGE: RIGHTEOUS AMONG THE NATIONS” EXHIBITION
During the first week of November, the exhibition “Moral Courage: Righteous Among the Nations,” organized by CADENA Foundation, Espacio Anna Frank, and Coexpace, was presented at Don Soffer High School by CADENA Club.
As part of Holocaust Education Week, CADENA Club members made it possible for students to explore the powerful stories of ordinary people who, during the Holocaust, risked their lives to save others — guided by empathy, moral strength, and an unwavering sense of humanity.
The exhibition served as a preview ahead of its official opening on December 1 at the Northeast Dade – Aventura Branch Library.
These heroes, known as the Righteous Among the Nations, remind us that even in the darkest moments, courage and compassion can change the world.
CADENA VOLUNTEERS GET READY TO LEAD THE MORAL COURAGE EXHIBITION
Over the last two weeks of November, we prepared for the Moral Courage Exhibition, which was hosted at the city of Aventura Library from December 1st to 13th. This exhibition honors the Righteous Among the Nations: people who risked their lives to save others during the Holocaust. Their stories highlight the power of moral clarity and the profound impact that individual and civic responsibility can have on the well-being of a community.
We have trained nearly thirty-five participants, including high school students from various schools. Our goal is not only to spark students’ interest in participating in events like this, but also to teach and inspire them with the message of speaking up and doing the right thing.
A central aim of this exhibit is to reach as many people as possible and to share these stories with the broader non-Jewish public, many of whom may not have been exposed to this history before. So far, the response to the exhibition has been overwhelmingly positive and truly eye-opening.
