VISIT TO ELDERLY PEOPLE

On December 3rd, we spent the day with over 100 elderly people in Tierra del Sol, Bogota. Our volunteers provided companionship, live music, and donations for the residents. Throughout the visit, they danced, sang, and conversed with the elderly people at the center.

WE CONTINUE PROVIDING SAFE WATER TO LA GUAJIRA

We closed the year by granting access to safe water for another community in La Guajira.

In Wamayao, we finally enabled access to safe water for dozens of Wayuu families. This advancement is part of our anticipatory response strategy, implemented alongside Start Network and other allied organizations, which continues to provide hand in hand aid to historically vulnerable populations.

At CADENA Colombia, we will continue working so that more communities in La Guajira can gain access to this essential resource.

SUBA AMAR CENTER

In our second-to-last humanitarian intervention of the year, we supported over 100 vulnerable women heads of household and children, together with eight of our volunteers.

We held a psychological workshop focused on emotions, created a humanitarian closet for families to select clothing, and distributed clothing items, 100 Miniso toys, 100 food kits, and donations for pregnant women, mothers, and babies.

LA CANDELARIA AMAR CENTER

The day before Christmas, we shared a special day with children at the Amar Center in La Candelaria, led by the children of CADENA volunteers, who chose and distributed gifts at the center, and spent quality time together to close the year with joy.
