AGRICULTURAL VOLUNTEERING WITH LEKET ISRAEL
Leket Israel is Israel’s leading food rescue organization, dedicated to collecting agricultural produce that would otherwise go to waste and distributing it to people and families in need.

As part of the volunteer activity, participants actively took part in harvesting sweet potatoes, working alongside local farmers and contributing to an important social and environmental cause. They greatly enjoyed the experience in the fields and gained a firsthand understanding of the impact their help can have on the community.
VISIT TO THE ISRAEL PARASPORT CENTER

The Israel ParaSport Center promotes inclusion through sports, providing a space for connection, personal growth, and empowerment for people with disabilities.

During the visit, Ariel, an athlete with a disability, shared his personal story and his connection to the center. The participants then played a wheelchair basketball game, experiencing firsthand some of the challenges of the sport.

It was a meaningful experience that encouraged them to reflect on inclusion, resilience, and the value of our abilities.

SEARCH AND RESCUE EXPERIENCE AT WINGATE

The Search and Rescue Center at the Wingate Institute offers hands-on experiences that provide an inside look at emergency response and rescue operations.

Throughout a full day, the group participated in various simulations and practical activities, including rescuing and transporting a person on a stretcher. Through these challenges, they learned about the importance of communication, coordination, and teamwork in emergency situations.
It was a meaningful and enriching day that the participants greatly enjoyed.

ISRAELI INNOVATION FOR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

Participants learned about the work of the Israel Export Institute and its collaborations with countries across Latin America. The activity included a panel with two Israeli companies developing innovative technologies for emergency response, rescue, and defense, including a virtual reality experience simulating a disaster site following an earthquake.

They learned about solutions developed by Peax Defense and in3D Tech and reflected on how Israel and Mexico can share knowledge and collaborate in response to emergencies and disasters.

It was an inspiring experience that allowed them to discover the potential of Israeli innovation to create a real-world impact.

LEARNING ABOUT CADENA’S HUMANITARIAN WORK

Participants learned about the experience of a CADENA volunteer, a recently retired soldier who took part in a humanitarian mission in Oaxaca, Mexico, as part of the collaboration between CADENA and the Israeli organization Ajim LaJaim, which supports retired soldiers experiencing post-traumatic stress.

Through his personal story and a video about CADENA’s mission in Oaxaca, participants gained a closer understanding of the organization’s humanitarian work and its impact. The conversation generated great interest and opened a space for reflection on volunteering and the possibility of participating in future humanitarian missions.

VOLUNTEERING WITH TACHLIT

Tachlit is an organization that supports families experiencing hardship by providing assistance and food in a dignified and compassionate way.
During the activity, the group helped prepare and package food, fruits, and vegetables for families in need. A large part of the group became actively involved and felt that they were taking part in a meaningful activity with a tangible impact.

At the end of the activity, the rabbi, one of the organizers of the association’s activities, shared a message with the group accompanied by an emotional video, bringing the experience to a close with a moment of reflection and connection.
