Hurricane Hilary

Hurricane Hilary made landfall in Baja California Sur as a category 2 hurricane, severely impacting the northern region of the state. In particular, the community of El Vizcaino suffered considerable damage, being cut off from communication and without access to basic necessities. Homes were partially damaged, directly affecting local families. In response, CADENA deployed an early recovery intervention, providing support in the form of food aid and water filters to ensure access to basic supplies. In addition, a recovery strategy focused on the installation of roofs for the affected houses, providing safety and protection to the families.

Thanks to these actions, we were able to positively impact 1,100 people, helping them after the hurricane.

Hurricane Lidia

Hurricane Lidia strongly impacted the Pacific coast, especially affecting the regions of Jalisco and Colima. In Jalisco, the community of Tomatlán suffered severe damage, while in Colima the capital was also affected, with flooding and partial damage to homes. Many families were cut off and without access to essential supplies. In response, CADENA deployed an early recovery intervention, delivering food aid and water filters to ensure that the population had access to basic necessities. In addition, a strategy for the reconstruction of roofs on damaged homes was implemented, providing safety and shelter to affected families.

Thanks to this intervention, we were able to positively impact 1,760 people, providing them with the necessary assistance after the hurricane’s devastating passage.

Hurricane Norma

Hurricane Norma made strong landfall in Sinaloa and Baja California Sur, especially affecting the cities of Culiacán and La Paz. The intensity of the hurricane left many communities without access to basic supplies, cut off from communication and severely damaged homes. Heavy rains and winds caused flooding and structural damage, affecting the safety of thousands of families. In response, CADENA deployed an early recovery intervention, providing food aid, water filters and installing roofs in the most affected homes to guarantee protection and stability to families. With these actions, we were able to impact a total of 4,375 people.
