On March 13, we had the opportunity to participate in the Disaster Risk Financing Program workshop, as part of the Guatemala Hub.
This space allowed us to strengthen our capacities within the Coordinating Group and the Technical Working Group of the National Disaster Risk Financing System -DRF-. During the day, we worked on the implementation of anticipatory actions in the face of drought, making sure that they were coordinated and complementary. We also analyzed the criteria and procedures established in the DRF protocol, which are fundamental for agile and efficient decision-making.
One of the key points of the workshop was the prioritization of the departments most affected by the drought, with the purpose of applying for Start Ready funds for Anticipatory Action through the Start Network. This will allow us to respond more effectively to climate risks and reduce the impact of disasters on the most vulnerable communities.
We are proud to contribute our experience and join the efforts of the organizations that make up the Hub. We firmly believe that, by working together, we can carry out actions that make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
At CADENA CJG, we remain committed to emergency preparedness and response, ensuring that we are always ready to act when we are needed most.
