On June 16 of this year a capacity building workshop on community resilience was held for the staff of CADENA CJG’s National Office and its Community Initiative volunteers in Sayaxché, Petén. This activity is part of a series of workshops that seek to strengthen the team’s skills in different departments of the country.

The workshop addressed key topics such as the community resilience model for strengthening multiple local systems and disaster risk management and preparedness, as well as specific strategies for risk reduction in agriculture. Participants also shared lessons learned to promote a culture of prevention and improve the response to crisis or emergency situations in their communities, strengthening the impact of our humanitarian work.
