In recent years, Argentina has faced a sustained increase in climate emergencies: floods, wildfires, severe storms, and extreme heat waves. According to data from the National Meteorological Service, emergencies caused by climate events have increased by more than 40% in the last decade, and 2023 was one of the hottest years on record.

Our country combines the impact of climate change with a situation of structural poverty that aggravates the consequences of each emergency.

In contexts where many families already live with limited resources, a climate event can mean the total loss of their home, their livelihood, or their access to basic services.

That is why CADENA is in Argentina: to be close to those in need, provide immediate humanitarian aid, and work on prevention and resilience in the face of the new realities imposed by climate change.

Did you know...

that, with as little as $1 USD per day, you can help us bring sage water where it is needed most?

$1.00 USD al mes pueden convertirse en:

  • Purifying filters for families without access to drinking water.
  • Water collection and storage systems for vulnerable communities.
  • Deep wells in regions where water is scarce.

Now imagine if that gesture were repeated every month.

Make your donation and be the reason someone receives safe water when they need it most.

Training and Outreach

We are engaged in constant training on many pressing humanitarian issues and in constantly sharing our knowledge and experiences on these matters. Issues such as diversity, inclusion, and gender perspective are among the topics we believe affect us all.
