Florencia Nightingale is a gender committee we created to ensure our aid efforts operate from a contextual and conscious gender-based approach. In 2019, we conducted our first humanitarian action addressing period poverty, consisting of a workshop to create eco-friendly sanitary pads. However, the project was fully formalized until August 2021 by holding the first roundtable. From that point onwards, we have conducted several workshops, volunteer training programs, and conferences to continue creating safe spaces and setting up of communication channels.
