CADENA INITIATIVE 2026 FINAL COMPETITION

This month, our Educational Department was fully dedicated to preparing for the CADENA Initiative 2026 Final Competition. Students from 12 countries worked tirelessly on their social entrepreneurship projects, each designed with the goal of addressing and solving pressing social issues around the world.

It was truly inspiring to witness the commitment, creativity, and growth of all the finalists as they refined and strengthened their proposals leading up to the Final Competition, which took place virtually on May 24th via Zoom. The level of the projects presented was outstanding, reflecting the passion and dedication these students have toward creating meaningful change in their communities and beyond.

We were also honored to have five exceptional judges: Alberto Benbunan, Lesley Simons, Bridget Pelaez, Amy Weiss, and Gina Volinski. Their expertise, and feedback greatly enriched the experience for all participants.

The official finalists were celebrated during the Iniciativa Trip, which place at the end of the month in Costa Rica. We are proud to announce that the two Honorable Mentions were awarded to Peru and Guatemala. Third Place went to Colombia, Second Place to Panama, and First Place to Venezuela.

We are incredibly proud of every team and deeply grateful for the hard work and passion demonstrated throughout this journey. Congratulations to all participants!
