EARTHQUAKE RESPONSE IN VENEZUELA: SECOND PHASE
Throughout July, at CADENA International, we continued carrying out our response to the June 24 earthquakes in Venezuela. After an initial response stage, focused on immediate relief after the emergency, our team kept working on the ground to address the main needs of the most affected communities. Thanks to coordinated efforts with allied humanitarian organizations such as World Jewish Relief, HelpAge, and Food for the Poor, we were able to aid over 14,000 people by providing psychosocial support for all ages, food items, shelter kits, hygiene supplies, solar lamps, and access to safe water through water tanks, filters, and trucks.
The next phases of our response in Venezuela will be executed by our local CADENA team in the country, aiming to support the medium-term reconstruction and recovery of affected people and communities.
