SUCCESSFUL OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE “MORAL COURAGE” EXHIBITION IN THE CITY OF AVENTURA

In December, the exhibition “Moral Courage: Righteous Among the Nations” opened at the Northeast Dade–Aventura Branch Library in the City of Aventura.

More than 250 people attended the opening to learn about the stories of some of the Righteous Among the Nations, people who risked their lives during the Holocaust to save others, guided by a profound moral conviction.

CADENA Miami, Espacio Anna Frank, and Coexpace welcomed the community. During the opening ceremony, Annie Vainrub, CADENA’s International Director of Education, highlighted that: “In a world increasingly marked by intolerance and division, remembering those who risked everything to save others during the Holocaust is not only a tribute to their bravery; it is also a reminder that the courage to do what is right begins with ordinary people.”

Throughout its presentation, the exhibition welcomed over 700 visitors, including family members of Holocaust survivors who were saved by the Righteous Among the Nations, as well as friends and descendants of those who carried out these extraordinary acts of courage.

The exhibition concluded with a film screening and panel discussion of “The Zookeeper’s Wife”, attended by over 120 people. The conversation was led by Dr. Patricia Jaegerman, Licensed Psychologist & March of the Living Educator; Niv Reuveni, Nova Festival survivor; and Stephanie Essenfeld, Licensed Psychotherapist and Conflict Resolution Specialist.

During the panel, Niv Reuveni shared his personal testimony, recounting how he was rescued on October 7 by Younis, an Israeli Druze Arab citizen who hid him along with six other people; a powerful example of the Righteous Among the Nations of the modern world.

CADENA CLUB DON SOFFER WELCOMES IAIR HORN FOR A POWERFUL TESTIMONY

CADENA Club Don Soffer gathered around 80 students and community members, welcoming Iair Horn to share his story. Iair was kidnapped from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023, and spent 498 days in Hamas captivity in Gaza before being released on February 14, 2025.

During the event, he shared his experience during that intensely uncertain time, while students listened attentively.

We thank CADENA Club Don Soffer’s dedication and leadership in organizing this event, as well as Iair for sharing his story and courage with our community.

In the context of the “Moral Courage” exhibition, CADENA Club Krop organized a gathering with Niv Reuveni, a survivor of the October 7, 2023 NOVA Festival massacre in Israel.

More than 60 students attended to hear his firsthand testimony. Niv shared how he was rescued that day by Younis, an Israeli Druze Arab citizen, who hid him along with six others.

CADENA VOLUNTEERS SHARE A SPECIAL BINGO MORNING WITH THE ELDERLY

CADENA volunteers had the opportunity to share a special morning of Bingo with the elderly at Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center.

During the activity, volunteers called out the Bingo numbers, shared conversations with the residents, helped them identify the numbers on their cards, and finally handed out the prizes brought by CADENA.

Thank you to all the volunteers who made this experience possible, and to Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center for welcoming us so warmly.
