A MONTH OF HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE IN CORDOBA
Following devastating floods in Cordoba, CADENA Colombia was among the first organizations to arrive at the disaster zone. From the start, we launched an operation to provide immediate response to this emergency and to coordinate with local authorities.
This work was made possible by allies such as Postobón, Fundación Éxito, Fundación Sueños de Lili, Fuera de Serie, Ciplas, Uniandinos, Amoretti, Colnotex, Lile, Tocaz Negua, Miscoco SAS (RINGO), Farmatodo, Envia, and Totto.
We are still working on the ground, coordinating and providing assistance, to support a complete recovery process in affected communities.
SAFE WATER FOR BOJACA: CONNECTING INNOVATION AND TERRITORY
Access to drinking water is no longer an urgent need for over 500 people in Santa Barbara, Bojaca. In partnership with the Bojaca Town Hall, Keren Kayemet Colombia, Plantador Colombia, and NUF, an Israeli company, we installed a water purification plant that, today, provides safer water for the community’s daily use.
NUF’s technology incorporates a circular economy model that reuses sterilized medical devices, transforming them into high-precision filtering systems. This process extracts pollutants, bacteria, and microscopic particles, ensuring a high-level purification in contexts where access to water has been limited.
Throughout this intervention, we collaborated with local and international partners, adapted this solution to a rural context, and worked hand in hand with the community to ensure its ownership and sustainability.
CADENA CLUB ACTIVITY
On February 28, our CADENA Club volunteers carried out an intervention at the Amar Center in Usaquen, Bogotá, where they organized activities with children and decorated cookies and cupcakes. This intervention was made possible through fundraising efforts held by this same group some weeks ago.
