FIRST AID WORKSHOP AT THE DOS MARES CHILDREN’S DINING HALL
This month, we held an eight-hour first aid workshop divided into four training sessions for workers at the Dos Mares Children’s Dining Hall and mothers in the community.
This training was conducted by SINAPROC (National Civil Protection System), with the aim of providing basic tools to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations, especially considering that the dining hall serves a great number of children every day.
During the workshops, participants learned about first steps in accidents, managing common emergencies, and preventative measures, strengthening the safety and well-being of everyone who uses the dining hall.
SAN DIEGO AND TANARA SCHOOLS
At CADENA Panama, we carried out a donation drive throughout several communities to support children at the start of this school year.
At the San Diego School, we distributed clothing for students as a support for families in the community, while at the Tierra Prometida Bilingual School in Tanara, we donated three boxes of children’s books and a bookshelf to create a small reading space.
LAS GARZAS MINSA CAPSI
Just as we did in February, this month we donated children’s clothes to the Las Garzas MINSA CAPSI Clothing Bank for more families to have dignified access to pieces of clothing in a good state.
We also delivered two boxes of children’s books and a bookshelf for the health center’s Pediatrics waiting room, aiming to create a warmer space for children while they await medical care.
DOS MARES CHILDREN’S DINING HALL
This month, we donated supplies to maintain high hygiene standards in the hall’s kitchen and dining room, including aprons, gloves, kitchen caps, a broom, a sweeper, and hand soap for the new washbasin used by the children when entering the dining hall.
We also delivered books for the space to also function as a place that fosters learning, where the children can read and do their homework.
Finally, we brought more chicken bones for nutritional broths to improve iron levels in the diet of those who visit the dining hall.
