FLOOD RESPONSE IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

In the province of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, a river’s overflow caused severe flooding that significantly damaged hundreds of homes and left many families in highly vulnerable conditions.

In response to this emergency, at CADENA Dominican Republic, we deployed a volunteer team to carry out a humanitarian intervention in the community of Los Ciruelos, in the Monte Llano sector.

Our volunteers distributed food and personal hygiene kits, cleaning supplies, and community water filters to address the urgent needs of affected families and to support the initial stages of their recovery process following this crisis.

FLOOD RESPONSE IN ECUADOR

Several regions of Quito were affected by severe floods, which is why, at CADENA Ecuador, we launched a humanitarian intervention to deliver hand in hand assistance to communities in San Miguel de los Bancos, Mindo, Pedro Vicente Maldonado, and Cangahua.

Thanks to the commitment of our volunteers, we distributed food and hygiene kits for over 1,600 people in coordination with the Pichincha Prefecture and the Decentralized Autonomous Governments (GAD).
