Activities in Argentina – July 2026

On Saturday, July 25, together with Pathfinder volunteers and in partnership with the Argentine Red Cross, Campana Branch, we conducted a community assessment in Campana, one of the cities affected by the historic floods of May 2025.

During the activity, we identified electricity-dependent individuals, promoted the “Chau Mosquito” dengue prevention campaign, gathered community concerns regarding the El Niño phenomenon, and mapped both unpaved and paved roads. The information collected will help strengthen preparedness and improve response efforts for future emergencies.

Intervention at the “Pequeños Pasos” Early Childhood Center

On Wednesday, July 15, together with our Youth volunteers, we carried out a volunteer activity at the “Pequeños Pasos” Early Childhood Center, located in La Boca.

During the activity, we transformed the center’s playground walls by painting murals and interactive games, turning an empty space into a colorful and stimulating environment for the children aged 0 to 3 who attend the center. The intervention included a hopscotch game, a car racing track, and a rainbow mural, to create a warmer and more engaging space that supports early childhood development.

HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE IN VENEZUELA

Our Humanitarian Operations Coordinator, Agustina Bornia, traveled to Venezuela to join the CADENA International team in its response to communities affected by the earthquake.

During the intervention, water tanks with filtration systems, mattresses, tents, food, and hygiene kits were distributed. In addition, psychosocial support was provided, activities were organized for children, and community assessments were conducted to identify the most urgent needs and help guide the humanitarian response.

ORT YATAY WORKSHOP

As part of a collaborative project with ORT Yatay to produce hand sanitizer for the Pequeños Pasos Foundation, we delivered a workshop for students on humanitarian aid, the global impact of crises, the core values that guide CADENA’s work, and tools for developing social impact projects in their communities.
