Colombia Earthquake

Colombia Earthquake On August 10, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake with its epicenter in San José del Palmar, Chocó, struck Colombia, leaving damaged homes, compromised water sources, and entire communities facing a new reality. Our international team, in coordination with CADENA Colombia, mobilized immediately to respond to the emergency.

From Cali, we deployed our GO Team rescue specialists to join search and rescue efforts in collapsed structures. Trained to act within the critical first hours of a crisis, the team evaluated urgent needs and supported search and rescue operations, always working alongside local authorities, community teams, and other humanitarian organizations.

Aid focused on essential needs: food security, access to clean water, medical and psychological care, and basic relief supplies.. We have delivered thousands of food baskets, water jugs, and filters; provided medical and psychological consultations; and distributed blankets, pillows, duffel bags, thermos bottles, and other items to support families during their recovery.

Nearly a month after the disaster, the response has reached 18,400 people, proving that humanitarian action goes further when built together.
