Volunteers of Cadena Club and Cadena Young Adults visited the elderly at Regents Park Nursing Home, where they brought flowers and bags of goodies that included plush toys, socks, snacks, as well as essential items like adult diapers, bed sheet protectors, masks, and other necessities. 😀
They entered each room to engage with the seniors, sharing experiences and uplifting their spirits. The Cadena volunteers felt they brightened the seniors’ day, many of whom rarely receive visitors. Simultaneously, the volunteers felt that the seniors made their day by smiling at them, making it an enjoyable afternoon for all involved. They aimed to provide both comfort and practical support to the seniors during their visit. The Cadena volunteers are excited to visit the seniors again more often and interact with them.

Through collaborative efforts with partner organizations such as Start Network, HelpAge International, Haciendo Panas, and World Vision Ecuador, we conducted workshops on risk reduction and prevention of gender-based violence. Additionally, we distributed essential supplies including food, hygiene kits, first-need kits, kitchen utensils, blankets, and solar lamps. ❤
CADENA International extends its gratitude to Santa Elena’s Civil Protection for their invaluable logistical support. Together, we remain committed to building safer and more resilient communities!

The elderly were very grateful to receive these visitors and bags. Some do not have family, and seeing children and adults taking the time to visit and talk to them makes their day. Let’s keep repairing the world by doing good deeds! ❤
