Landslide in Rosas, Cauca Response

By CADENA

Axis: Humanitarian Action

Office: Colombia

From February 21-23, 2023 in Rosas, Cauca, CADENA Colombia responded to landslides caused by heavy rains. With the support of our general volunteers and in collaboration with Start Network we responded to this disaster and brought assistance to one of the most remote areas of the department. One of the most important objectives of this intervention was to bring aid to the people most affected by the landslide, since the access roads were closed and they had not received any help. Despite the difficulties, we were able to distribute support, benefiting 2,000 people with the delivery of 500 food pantries, 500 hygiene kits and 5 community water filters. To complement this response, we conducted workshops on disaster risk reduction and mental health care.

Did you know...

that, with as little as $1 USD per day, you can help us bring sage water where it is needed most?

$1.00 USD al mes pueden convertirse en:

  • Purifying filters for families without access to drinking water.
  • Water collection and storage systems for vulnerable communities.
  • Deep wells in regions where water is scarce.

Now imagine if that gesture were repeated every month.

Make your donation and be the reason someone receives safe water when they need it most.
