FLORENCIA NIGHTINGALE PROJECT
This month, at CADENA Panama, we launched the Florence Nightingale project. We started with a training with four volunteers, where we learned in depth about the program and how to implement it effectively. This project will be carried out in the Emberá community, with the help of community leader Sara Omi, with the objective of strengthening community work and promoting wellbeing.
SAN MIGUELITO DINING ROOM
We continue to make progress towards the opening of the Comedor Infantil de San Miguelito, a project that we developed together with the Mayor’s Office to provide a dignified space for the children of the community. Thanks to RCA’s donation, we have obtained essential appliances to equip the dining room, a refrigerator, freezer, stove-oven and dishwasher thanks to Fundación Rescate de Alimentos.
In addition, we got together to paint a colorful and hopeful mural in the dining room together with ten volunteer artists. In just one day, we were able to make progress on the work and also recovered several wooden tables, giving them back their functionality.
