At the time of opening CADENA’s Colombia office in 2019, the main goal was to assist the migrant population crossing the border between Colombia and Venezuela.

CADENA International had already carried out two successful cases of humanitarian action on the border at that time, and we identified the need for having our own office in order to support this and other causes in the country.

Why are we located in Colombia?

CADENA Colombia was created with the aim of providing humanitarian aid to the people most in need in the country.

In Colombia, 19 million people face multidimensional poverty. That is, 40% of the population does not have the resources to cover their basic needs.

We have dedicated our efforts to supporting the passage of people coming from Venezuela— we provide assistance to victims of forced displacement and to families living in multidimensional poverty.
