TRAININGS: “JUVENTUD” AND PATHFINDERS

We held the third and fourth meetings of Youth CADENA 2026. During the third meeting, participants attended a workshop on “Psychosocial Tools and Emotional Management,” led by psychologist Leandro Abrevaya. The fourth meeting focused on First Aid training, led by Celine Mc Coubrey, medicine student. Both sessions included group activities and icebreaker games.

On Saturday, May 30, we held the first Pathfinder meeting through a variety of group dynamics and icebreakers. The session focused on identity and leadership, exploring what it means to be a Pathfinder, the role of leadership within CADENA, and CADENA’s organizational identity.

BLANKET-MAKING AND WINTER RELIEF KIT ASSEMBLY EVENTS

As we prepared for the winter season in Argentina, we organized a volunteer-driven event to assemble winter relief kits containing blankets, rain ponchos, sneakers, and personal hygiene supplies. These kits will be distributed to people experiencing homelessness.

We had also received a large donation of small fleece blankets which, due to their size, were not sufficient to provide adequate protection from the cold. However, this did not stop us; instead, we found a solution. Together with our volunteers, we organized a blanket-making event, sewing multiple blankets together to create larger, warmer blankets that could effectively provide protection during the winter months. It was a highly successful and meaningful experience for everyone involved.

TRAINING WITH CIVIL DEFENSE

On May 5, we participated in a training workshop on the management of temporary shelters in emergency contexts, held at the Vucetich University Institute in the city of La Plata.

The training was aimed at emergency response personnel and allowed us to continue strengthening our professional capacities by incorporating key tools for assisting communities during critical situations.

HEJALUTZ LAMERJAV SEMINAR

On May 8, we participated in the “Gsharim: Community Bridges” seminar organized by Hejalutz Lamerjav, a space for dialogue and exchange that brought together community leaders, professionals, and young leaders from various organizations.

Throughout the event, we participated in groups and networking sessions alongside representatives of community institutions, addressing challenges related to community strengthening, youth engagement, and inter-organizational collaboration.
