SOLIDARITY STORE IN ALAJUELITA
On June 28, CADENA Costa Rica set up a Solidarity Store in Alajuelita, where 37 families were able to freely select between 5 and 6 items per household member. Toys, clothing, footwear, accessories, and household items were available so each family could find what they needed most, placing dignity at the center of the process.
Throughout the day, we also distributed 66 oral hygiene kits (a toothbrush and toothpaste) to 29 children and 37 adults. Psychology Bachelor’s students led recreational activities for the 29 children present. A talk on compassionate menstruation was also held for the 37 adult participants, each of whom received a package of sanitary pads to support their daughters through this stage.
